The Destructed Topic: B-Fest

Hey kids!!  Whilst I'm sure that this has been covered an incredible amount of times over in this here place, I haven't been checking it out [I'm that lazy], so I thought I'd ask anyway:

Who all here is planning on attending B-Fest?  We [the Brotherhood O Bad Movies] will be there, and I am [slash we are] very much interested in meeting up with all of you.

We were planning on unveiling our newest project there [save me grandpa, he's using allusions!], but unfortunately time in inexplicably hatable [sp?].

I'd also like to state that watching Space Mutiny [without the MST3K characters] was thoroughly enjoyable.  Anyone with me on this one?

At present it looks like Marine Corps duties will allow me to be there.  In addition, here are the B-Masters that will be attending:

I'll be there. My girlfriend and I are building a whole trip to Chicago around B-Fest. We'll be driving down from Ontario on the 23rd, about an 8-hour drive at least, and probably heading straight to the box office for our tickets. We'll be staying until the 28th, and will do some sightseeing on the other days.

Two questions (maybe more later) for the veterans:

Does anybody know a really cheap (but clean) motel close to the University?

How many people stay the full 24 hours? We were planning on going for some sleep at 2am and coming back at 8am. Looking at the lineup, I don't think we'll be missing much.

Why won't Brother Ferox bring me to B-Fest?  What is up with that.  I'm going to start an up rising of girlfriends left behind.  Good job, Andy, on taking yours with you!

You can come with us if you want.  We'll have a couple of other women going. And Andrew's a Marine, so if BF starts going nuts Andrew can restrain him.

Ken, would you kindly not get me into fights with people.  I do that plenty enough myself and nearly was thrown in the brig once.

Having said that, I might beat Ken up at B-Fest.  I owe Scott from Stomp Tokyo too.

Hey - I really don't care for fighting people, but I sure will stand by the wall, pump my fists, and cheer the fighting on just like that guy in the background in Street Fighter that's in the Air Force... you know, that guy that's all waving his arms and shouting?  Yeah.  I'll be like him.

And then we can all laugh it off and dance like we're ninjas.

Andrew -- I always admire your creative thinking, as well as your bloodlust.  That's such a great idea -- B-Master Fight Club. It would add a whole new dimension to B-Fest.

I can totally see it: Andrew "Boom Boom" Borntreger vs. Ken "The Animal Steel" Begg. I'd pay top dollar to see a B-Master Brawl.
