Z CHANNEL: A MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION (2004) - Great documentary produced by IFC about one of the first L.A. pay channels in the 70's headed by Jerry Harvey program director. He picked the rare films and this documentary shows clips of many films I haven't even heard of along with many interviews by people who knew Jerry Harvey including Quinten Tarentino and James Woods. This is definately worth the viewing. Harvey would locate films in their original form before the studios got hold of them and showed them the way they were suppose to be viewed. All movie fans should watch this one.

I thought this was a remake to the 60's drama.

No wait I just realized that was "Magnificant Confession." XD

I know about that one thanks to Jabootu.

Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession (2004) thats the whole title of the documentary. Harvey would find original films that had been cut by studios and play it on Z Channel. Also he would play films that couldn't show at theaters.
