DBZ was pretty f**ked up as a kids show: Blood, dismembered limbs, gruesome deaths to say a few.

Anyone remember "Mr. Smith" that show about a talking ape?
What about that weird rocking chair bound evangelist, Dr. Gene Scott?
And I've asked about this before: Has anyone besides me, ever seen or heard of a weird music video show called "Telestar?"

Even weirder than Gene Scott is his porn star wife Melissa Scott. Try figuring out what the hell she is talking about on her televangelist shows. She is fine though...

I remember Mr. Smith. He was a talking orangutan who wore a three piece suit and was a Washington DC consultant, or something. I think it lasted about three episodes.

The opening credits are around 4:40 - right before the credits for Manimal!

I've searched for it for years. But I can find no record of a 1980's music video show called "Tel-Star." It was a weird show. The only thing is, I can't find any evidence that proves it ever existed! I think it was so bad, that all the copies of the show were destroyed and it's cast and crew possibly killed, lol.
