I'm about to turn 60.
Frankly, I think not.  The Russians can't even conquer Ukraine; the Chinese don't need to resort to nukes as they plan on dominating the world economically. And since the grown-ups are back in control of the government and Trump's chances of getting elected again appear to be diminishing by the day, I don't see us starting it either.

Doubt. There are nothing to gain economically from it and I don't think(at least currently) any ideological movement is strong enough rn to force it

I'm doubtful, too, although the chances are much greater than I would have thought ten years ago.

One silver-lining outcome of the Ukraine conflict is that aggressors will (hopefully) learn by example that, in the modern world, warfare isn't worth it. Watching what's going on, I don't think China is making plans to go after Taiwan.

After growing up in the environment I did, I always felt that a third world war wasn't far off until Gorbachev started speaking about perestroika ☺️

I think Taiwan is more likely to kick things off than Ukraine. I am expecting trouble there before the end of the decade.
