It seems like the Queen is very ill and doctors fear the worst.
:bluesad: Our news broadcasts are all about it. I cannot help but be sad, even with so little said. This cannot be good. :bluesad:

The words London Bridge are being used a lot on Twitter and if that starts happening, then you know that she is either in her last hours or she has passed.
Announced just now that she has passed.

Sad news.
Truly an amazing woman.
Bollocks. I was hoping she'd last until I get out so I didn't have to work the funeral. I didn't expect her to outlast Phillip by long. Well, she was a working royal all her life and did the best she could for her country as she saw it. I've heard worse epitaphs.

The footage we have of her during the 1947 Royal Tour - most of it in colour - is quite amazing.
Because she died at Balmoral, my understanding is that she will lie in state in Edinburgh (Hollyrood), rather than going down to London. I've never really looked into the ins and outs of it, but the whole thing is called Operation Unicorn. If anyone is interested, I'd imagine at least some details of it will be available online.

One of our more belligerent political parties, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) issued this statement to express their feelings on her passing.

Strange they do not blame her for everything wrong in Africa as though everything is her fault.
And then there was this tweet from this twit :hatred:

I will admit that I was never a fan of the Queen - due to her silence after Princess Diana's death - but that tweet is beyond vile.
I got something in my eyes now

Yeah it is and from what I read it was a painful death. Hell with thinking twice about hiring a graduate of that school, I'd think 10,000 times before I did so. I wrote to the school and told them if they expected forgiveness from me they had better check the temperature in f**king hell first.
This is not too far away from where we are:

The shop owner is a conspiracy nut who has all sorts of things up on chalkboards in her shop about covid being fake and so on. Trip Advisor has had to lock reviews of her place and their facebook page has been shut off.
This woman was especially torn up about the news.

Never cared one way or the other about the Royals. She seemed like a nice old lady.

Wouldn't be surprised. Jeannette Charles had played her majesty in various media productions longer than I've been alive, from 1974 up to 2010. She was born one year after Elizabeth.
Diana would have been a good and decent queen.

I've long proclaimed it.
DIANA was the only royal I've ever admired, the People's Princess.
The queen's death has highlighted many lingering questions about monarchy, none good for royals.
Just came across her last Christmas message.
