Valentine's day used to really depress me because for years I was always alone on this day.  :bluesad:

Now that I'm happily married, this day depresses me cuz I have to go out and put thought into a present of some sort. :teddyr:

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Even though the day was kind of made up by the greeting card companies it's kind of a nice idea, as long as you don't get into the if you really love me you'll get me something bigger than what I got you mode. I like humorous cards, my favorite was one that said:

Thought about you today
Got gas
Don't think the two are related.

I will admit to being lucky in having a wife like mine, she'd be happy if I came home and gave her a handful of dirt, with her it's mainly the thought that you got something, not what that something is. :teddyr: :teddyr:

I'll take ads like that over the ones they use in the magazines nowadays. They're corny, but I'd be more likely to try a product based on an ad like that than what passes for "cool" now.

As for Valentine's Day, I'm actually doing something tonight. going with the "not girlfriend" and a group of friends (all singles) to see Music and Lyrics then going out to eat. Still can't decide what to write in the card I got her. Treading that whole "we're friends but hoping for more" line right now.

I'm even telling myself to not mention what Al Capone did one Valentine's Day as part of my anti-V-day campaign. Usually I loathe this day, probably will again.
