KYGOTC

Im sure alot of the people on here dont use their real names. Im sure "Wyre Wizzard" isnt a real leagaly binding name, and if it is, you have my deepest apologies. My display name is the result of me mixing around 6 letter blocks and coming out with these 6 letters in this particular order. K-Y-G-O-T-C. I thought it sounded cool, so now I tell everyone to call me that. What does YOUR name mean? RCMerchant? Mr. Briggs Inc.? Poogie? Andrew? and all the others. What's the skinny?
"I'm a man too, you know! I go pee-pee standing up!"

RCMerchant

My real name...is Ronald Christopher Merchant. No deep meaning here!
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

ulthar

We've had this discussion before (in a thread I BELIEVE started by Ash), but since we have a lot of new users, I guess it's fair game again.

Ulthar is a town in an HP Lovecraft story titled "The Cats of Ulthar."  You don't want to kill a cat in Ulthar.

Happy to see that you are still playing with blocks.

Menard is the name of the doctor in Fulci's Zombie (1979).

Scott

Scott means something like from Scotland or something.

LilCerberus

I'm a Gemini, born on the Chinese year of the dog.

Raffine

"Raffine" is a rather innocent-sounding name that actually was one of the extremely demented sadist bad filmmaker Andy Milligan's many fake names he used in his film's credits to hide the fact he did practically everything on his movies, including cinematography, sets, costumes, editing, special effects, gore effects, makeup, etc.

Cute story: Milligan was once under suspicion for murder when a prostitute turned up murdered (nailed to a fence and stabbed to death) the night before an identical death was filmed for a character in GURU, THE MAD MONK. Some of Andy's friends felt he may have been out the night before "practicing" for the next day's shoot. When asked about it years later, Milligan would only giggle.

His films include THE GHASTLY ONES, THE RATS ARE COMING! THE WEREWOVES ARE HERE!, FLESHPOTS OF 42ND AVENUE, and THE BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHER. Costumes, sets, and production design by "Raffine".

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Zapranoth

Zapranoth is a demon-lord from _Empire of the East_ by Fred Saberhagen (an outstanding sci fi/fantasy tale if ever I've read one).

"This time a bass quaver, that told of madness rampant in the foundation of the world; this time the whole world shuddered and sickened with the coming up, and the light it case before was blue and horrible."

Trevor

 :twirl:

I am Trevor T. (for Thomas, after my Dad) Moses, born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) on September 11, 1967. There were five hours of total darkness after I wuz born, this was probably due to the fact that I was born at 02h30 in the morning.  :teddyr:

I am a film archivist by trade www.national.archives.gov.za, I am single and looking  :twirl: and send warm wishes to all.

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

akiratubo

Akira Tubo is an unintentional misspelling of "Akira Kubo", an actor from many a '60s Toho production.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

fortunato

Fortunato is, of course, from Poe's "Cask of Amontillado." Maybe one day I'll change it to Brown Jenkin or Dr. Pangloss. I like literary names.
Goblins still exist. Your Grandpa Seth is telling you!

Are you nuts? You tryin' ta turn me into a homo?

You're TEARING ME APART, Lisa!

dean

My name is Dean.  Hence Dean.  Great story really.

Yeah, so I've always thought that the people with the boring names [like me] are really people with outrageous names and just want to hide
in obscurity and monotony.

trekgeezer

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Poogie

After reading all these I'm a little hesitant to put why I used my name "Poogie". It's the name of our first cat when Dennis and I were married. There's also a reason why we named the cat "Poogie" but that's a secret.  :buggedout: :teddyr: :bouncegiggle:
Boogie...Boogie...Boogie...Boogie...

JaseSF

Jase is short for Jason, my real name. The SF part stands for Sci-Fi as 1950s Sci-Fi was the thing that basically lead me to be the type of movie fan I am today and it is still by far my favourite period for Sci-Fi film output. Also I was once known as "sfaddict" on IMDB and that's a nod to that period of time as well.
