Did anyone else absolutely hate this damn movie? I hate it. I can't stand it. I think it was the worst pile of giraffe vomit to have ever been put on film. Why do people like this movie? More importantly, why do people give me a dirty look when I tell them I don't like this movie? I don't understand. The first one was 10x better than that mound of radioactive sludge.

You think they could have splurged a little to hire a make-up artist instead of going to the nearest prop-shop and buying a few latex masks and some monster gloves? Is it no wonder that 90% of the cast went on to do NOTHING!! EVER AGAIN!!! GOD, THIS MOVIE SUCKS!!!

It had potential, too. Alone, the idea of the kid p**sing on the family's slime infected dinner sounds funny. The movie, not funny. The prospect of one of the characters turning into a tree to somehow connect the two movies sounds like a good one. Not even close. An 80s babe doing a cheesy 80s dance routine sounds promising. Total disaster.

Troll 2 was a complete insult to its predecessor, and I am completely in the dark on how people can find the least bit of good in it.

Little did the director Claudio Fragasso know, but this scene starring actor Robert Ormsby was a message to the rest of the cast and crew. Ormsby was later replaced by a stand-in wearing another mask Fragasso bought at Revo's Fun World after Ormsby made an attempt on Fragasso's life. Ormsby had to be physically removed from the set after drawing a Bowie knife during filming. Of course, all of this can be found on the special features menu of the Troll 2: 15th Anniversity DVD.

Sorry to say, but I enjoyed it. Its a fun movie and I can watch it any time. I liked it so much, I made my Mom sit through it (she still wont watch any movies I have to this day). Of cousre, she hated it, but thats beside the point. Ive heard around the internet, that there was a sequel where a woman makes love to one of the trolls. Here is a clip from the sequel: [youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWG4LU-8pn4 In conclusion, I really enjoyed Troll 2 its a fun, carefree, horrible movie.

Shadow

Alas, I have never seen this one.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Yeah, Troll 2 is pretty bad.
Even the cast members understand how bad it is.

Andrew & I got the chance to interview George Hardy, who played the father in Troll 2.
It was just posted last month here at Badmovies.org.

http://www.badmovies.org/interviews/georgehardy/

By the way, I did a phone interview with George.
If you really want to find out why Troll 2 turned out as bad as it did, read Andrew's interview and then download my phone interview.
It's on there as a 38 mb MP3 file.

And Michael Stephenson, the guy who played Joshua in the movie has a really neat Troll 2 revival website set up.

They've been having Troll 2 screenings all over the US.
I'm trying to see if I can make it up to the Minneapolis screening.

So yeah, Troll 2 is a god-awful movie, but it has that certain weird b-movie charm that I like.

Well! After reading all this I have come to the decision that I MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!!! And I must submit my family to it as well!!! MOOOHAHAHA!!! :twirl:

I thought it was moderately entertaining.  I usually don't watch movies that are as bad as Troll II, but I got a kick out of it.  It's like, there's nothing in the movie that could have been any stupider if they tried.

I don't know, maybe it's just me. The "humor" in this movie felt more forced than Halle Berry's Oscar speech.

Yeah, the sequel is The Crawlers. I haven't seen it. I don't think I have the stomach. My question is, why did they have to rope Troll into this awful mess of latex mask wearing dwarves? The other two movies could have easily have been there own, seperate, putrid series.

The interview is great. It really shed light on exactly how the movie got to be so wretched. Ahhhh...maybe I'll watch it again. It's been awhile. There's always the stop button. I am glad to see that the poor unfortunate souls who were sadly a part of that film are able to laugh about it and make a bit more money off it than the $4 and change they probably got after filming.

This is showing at an indie movie theater in my city this summer. Ill have to check it out.

Troll 2 is one of those flicks that for me personally, is so awful in every way that it somehow transcends its wretched badness and becomes something immensely watchable in the most perverse way possible.

As long as its not boring, ill go see it.

I really hate Troll 2, but something always possesses me to watch it, and I'm not sure what it is.  I rented it multiple times, recorded it off HBO, and watched it every time it was on, and I despised it each time.  But there was something about the dialogue being so wretchedly awful that made it alluring.

Joe

i love this movie cause its so bad. dude watch this on a full tank and look past taking seriously idk i think its down right hilarious.

It's kind of like how people are drawn to watch the screwups on American Idol.
It's so bad, you can't turn away!   :buggedout:

Seriously though, if you've never seen Troll 2, you owe it to yourself to check it out at least once.

There's a huge cult phenomenon surrounding Troll 2.
They've been showing screenings of the film to sold out crowds all over the US these past few months.
During the film, there's hilarious audience participation followed by a great Q&A with most of the cast.
George told me that they've had to turn away people because they were completely sold out of tickets and the theaters were filled to capacity.

Andrew & I were lucky to score our interview right when all of this Troll 2 madness is at its peak.
