One of my favorite "good" movie series out there.

People seemed to flame any movie made after Silence of the Lambs, sadly, but I thought they were great.

Have an opinion?

Definitely one of the most intriguing villains of all time.  I just wished they had kept the original ending from the book on HANNIBAL instead of changing it up.  HANNIBAL RISING was downright chilling.

Anthony Hopkins is great, but does anyone else also like Brian Cox's more subdued performance in Manhunter?

Seems alot of people don't remember MANHUNTER based on Thomas Harris' "RED DRAGON" but I do, and fondly.  So fondly that I haven't seen the Ralph Fiennes thingy (but I suddenly realize with alarm that I really would like to see Anthony Hopkins reprise Hannibal Lecter!)

That being said, Brian Cox was wonderful in MANHUNTER.

I'm a big fan of Red Dragon.  I thought they did a really good job with it.  Edward Norton is pretty much great in any movie that he's in.  Plus, I like the dynamic that his character has with Lector.  You can see where Clarice made mistakes with Hannibal.  Will doesn't take any crap from Hannibal.  Ralph Fiennes is weird and creepy as the Tooth Fairy.

I don't know, Manhunter never really did anything for me.  It has too much of an '80's feeling to it, whereas Dragon and Lambs are kind of timeless.
He learned almost too late that man is a feeling creature... and because of it, the greatest in the universe........
