good album. amazing how a band 25 yrs into their career can still sound that powerful. I bought the re-issue of Meshuggah "contradictions Collapse" the other day, been listening to that a fair bit.

Every time I'm introduced to someone that I can really get into, I'll fill up my Shuffle with nothing but their music and hypnotize myself with it for days or weeks on end. Current hostage holders are Electric Six with their odd but seductive mix of humor, techno, metal and disco. Think of them as The Darkness or Spinal Tap, only with a more club friendly tempo... not that I myself am club friendly, just making a point. Picked up their two previous outings Señor Smoke and Fire and will no doubt be seeking out their newest, Switzerland, later this week to add to the merriment. "I'm a man, torn between vengeance and fashion".

They're a Norwegian Black Metal band.

Actually, the've kind of evolved into more of a symphonic black metal of sorts. I don't listen to much Black Metal but they're excellent.
