Went looking for my own copy of Ode To Billy Jo, BOBBIE GENTRY's wonderful album, but can't find it!  Y'see what happens as you get older?  I had the LP twice (many of my favorite records were leaned against a radiator decades ago, so I went about replacing them...)  Can't believe I don't have it on CD and bet it's out of print!  I just found my (second) copy of the LP so at least I can review the playlist (I do have a record player, so you can bet I'll be playing it in a little while)  It's...not a perfectly produced record, but one of my favorites.  I can't find it on Amazon, though much of it is available on collections...I guess I haven't listened to it in at least 15 years !!

Now listening to the Carter Family.

I've heard her earlier stuff is pretty decent.  The first song I heard her do was on a comp. album, where she sang the "Banana Splits Theme Song' with Material Issue.

But the only album of hers I actually have is the self titled album, but I was told that's more poppy.  I have heard a few earlier songs from this album you posted, but haven't bought anything yet.

How are they?

A Bruno Nicolai score to a Jess Franco movie.  The mind boggles.

Nice.  Have you heard about Alex North's score that he composed for Kubrick before Kubrick decided to go with nothing but classical selections?

2001 by Dr. Dre- The sequel album to Dr. Dre's legendary "Chronic" album.  Decent enough album, and features pretty decent cameo's by Xzibit, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem.
