Hey Torgo, Voltron, I think this is their masterpiece:

A fine, fine album. The popularity of "Wish You Were Here" (the song) kinda ruins it for me though.

As planned, listening now to my favorite PINK FLOYD album, and one of my top 10 favorites: Wish You Were Here

Well, I haven't listened to them in a while, so I guess I'm entitled to repost them again.   :teddyr:

LATER:
PRINCE Purple Rain (haven't listened to this in nearly 20 years, but just a break 'cos I'd played it enough back when...) I had this CD sealed for at least 15 years, opened it a few months ago, uploaded, but haven't listened 'til now... still a great album...

Prince REALLY needs to remaster all of his 80's albums.  I've got 1999 (my personal favorite of his) on CD and it's amazing how low the levels are along with the sub-par sound quality.

I had 1999 on vinyl... I'm not what they used to call an audiophile, this CD sounds okay to me, but it is definitely old!!  Interestingly, my Windows Mediaplayer which I use on this old computer to play everything, recognizes this album, including all its tracks, and offers links to online commentary... it doesn't do that for many recent releases... old yes, but not compared to my bones !  My new computer has sat for two weeks waiting for me to put it together!   :teddyr:

The Prince albums that I've still got on vinyl (and have had them like that since they originally came out) are 1999, Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day and Sign O' the Times.

I had Controversey and Dirty Mind on vinyl but lost them in the flood of 85 that happened where I live in VA.

Hmmm on vinyl, long gone, 1999, Around The World In A Day, Purple Rain...

I had a huge vinyl collection prior to the Flood of '85 in southwest VA.  All of the vinyl that I had downstairs (which was most of my stuff) was destroyed.

I had some stuff in my bedroom upstairs and that's the stuff that I still have to this day.  I've replaced some stuff just in terms of having it as collectibles like my Iron Maiden LP's.

I did not take as good care of my records as I thought; I lost all of my favorite records (I mean vinyl) so stupidly I won't go there, but I can relate to the massive loss... later, I sold hundreds of albums to the Princeton Record Exchange (a few of which I slap my head) because my collection had become so massive and unwieldy thru moving... I kept and still have at least a hundred LPs...
Always loved the artwork for IRON MAIDEN's records, particularly the one you've shown at least twice (and aren't I a broken record?) but it is the best:

Rainy thursday in New Jersey...

RICKY NELSON's second album, only available packaged with his first, the cover art ain't easy to find, but long ago was once ubiquitous, you might be surprised how good this is:

Also cued: RICK NELSON's third Ricky Sings Again  which is what we nowadays call a "masterpiece..."
