John Morris's score to The Elephant Man.  You'd swear it was Elfman.

I watched parts of THE ELEPHANT MAN last night (every time a commercial came on during SCIFI's Tin Man, I switched to TCM).  ELEPHANT MAN is a superb film, truly one of those "masterpieces" we hear about, but like all "master"ful films, it's contributions from several people that make it so, one being JOHN MORRIS and his contribution of that haunting and poignant score.
Listening to a great album:
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Elephant Man is a wonderful, wonderful movie.  Great performances, and what boggles my mind, the fact that Mel Brooks is one of the people behind it.  Most people are like, "Really? Mel Brooks?"  They don't know he helped produce it and what not.

Torgo, you're playing some albums I remember well, I need to get Fragile on CD... the only one I have is Close To The Edge which I still think was YES' greatest achievement, though parts are dated...  perhaps Fragile will hold up better.
Physical Graffiti is another one I do like.

Now I'm listening to THE STOOGES
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Angels of Light - We Are Him

Karma for digging the Angels Of Light, Rev! I think my fave album of theirs is How I Loved You. I posted a thread about my love for Swans awhile back, but nobody responed. Ah well.

I karma'd you right back, Voltron.  Agreed, How I Loved You is their best, though my favorite song is the chilling My Sister Said from "Sings Other People."  I got into Gira with Angels, haven't heard much Swans (except the so-so "The Burning World").
