Lately, I've been looking into lake monster movies, craptacular as all that I've seen are.  So far, I've only  managed to watch Monster, Legend of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds, and The Crater Lake Monster, all of which were pretty much ass, although LoDaMB gets points for being a nostalgic movie for me.  So, can anyone recommend me some, good and bad?

INCIDENT AT LOCH NESS is a fascinating fake documentary by Warner Herzog - definitely worth a watch!  I got suckered into it for awhile - thinking it was a real documentary, that is.

Would oversized crocodile and/or alligator flicks like Lake Placid count?

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Get thee to a copy of Rana: The Legend of Shadow Lake.  Directed by bad movie legend Bill Rebane and loaded to the gills (heh) with all sorts of non-actors.  Even better if you like "Swan Lake".   :teddyr:

How about Piranha? It's not exactly a lake but it's water based.

I forgot to include Creepshow 2, which I bought a couple months back.  The Loch Ness Horror I believe I saw when I was young, but I don't quite remember.

Beyond Loch Ness

This actually looks kind of good. Next Saturday may or may not be fun. We shall see.

Yeah, the Raft is a good one. I remember being bugged out after seeing that one.

Loch Ness Horror is excruciatingly boring.

I was going to recommend Dragon Blue but I can't remember if it lived in the ocean or a lake.

And when he shall die
Take him and cut him into little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

A pretty decent film that pops up fairly often in "what was that film" folder is THE QUEST, starring E.T. child star Henry Thomas.
