Star Trek moved to May 8, 2009

Man I was so looking forward the Christmas 2008 release, but I'll just have to suck it up. Evidently the theory is that the summer releases will be pretty thin next year because of the writers strike, so moving the release will make for better box office.

Apparently there will be a lot of shuffling of release dates for others as well.

I'm sure it is the writer's strike and not the fact this is a trainwreck in the making.

What he said, but everything I've heard so far about the film has been positive. So, as long as they do it right, I can wait till next year.

 :bluesad: I was all excited, too. Well, maybe Hollywood will think twice about screwing with their writing staff. You take out the foundation and the house falls down, duh.
