I am 45 years old, when I was around 8 I saw a movie that scared me to death (almost).  It had men going into outer space, then I don't remember the middle too much, on the way back to earth they brought back a female creature that killed almost everyone on board by eating their wrists.  The very end of the movie showed the scientists on earth carring out with these bubbling "eggs" of hers in what looked like egg crates you buy eggs in today.  I pretty sure it was black & white.

Anybody know the name of this movie?

Thanks,
Leah

Very possibly "Queen Of Blood" (circa 1965) with John Saxon and Dennis Hopper.
There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack

Wow you're good.  I'm for sure that's it. I'm going to go buy it on e-bay.  Thanks.

No problem!

JJ80 is 100% right: it is "Planet of Blood" a.k.a. "Queen of Blood". Yikes...that film seriously creeped me out as a kid.  :buggedout: :buggedout: Good memories, though.

The history of "Planet of Blood"/"Queen of Blood"  aka "Flight to the Far Planet" aka "Planet of Terror" aka "Planet of Vampries" aka "Space Vampire" aka "The Green Woman" is probably more interesting than the film itself.

The executive producer on this was Roger Corman, who apparently without attribution, took clips from the Russian, big budget, space epic "Nebo Zovyot" from 1960, and built this film around them.

It was one of the last credited screen appearances of Basil Rathbone, and one of the first credited screen appearances of Dennis Hopper.

Forrest J. Ackerman can also be seen in the film, as an aide to Rathbone's character.
