It's on DVD...the DVD is really bare bones and crappy, though.

It's basically a copy of the pan and scan Media Home Video edition and nothing else.  Considering the movie was shot in the widescreen (2:35:1) it would be nice to see a widescreen DVD of it some time.  Maybe they can rope Abby (remember her?) into doing a commentary for it?

I picked up this film tonight, the 2 disc special edition, after having not seen it for many years.  Ah, fond memories.  Anyway, I do like the film despite being Jaws with a bear.  It was still enjoyable, especially thanks to Christopher George, and somewhat gory at a few scenes (horse decapitation, anyone?).

I remember seeing this as a kid in the theater when I was in 4th grade . I thought it was legitimately scary at the time gory too.

Damn, who resurrected this post? It's a trip down memory lane. Chopper, Brother Ragnarok, and Dunners haven't been around in years.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I saw this about a month ago and quite enjoyed it as a landlocked "Jaws" takeoff mixed with a 'monster-on-the-loose' storyline. It never excelled but did provide steady entertainment.

A friend of mine's father was a projectionist at a movie theater in the town where I lived at the time.  He and I saw Grizzly I can't say if it was good or bad but I have memories of one of the scenes in that movie.  Now I am curious I will have to check netflix

I took my wife to see this one when it came out, while it's not a great film it's pretty good for a "Jaws" knock off. Both films depict something that has a chance, however small, of actually happening to you and this seems to make for a kind of morbid fascination on the part of the movie going public. Surprisingly, according to IMDB "Grizzly" was the most financially successful independent film of 1976, turned a profit of $39 million for the guys who made it.

Yeah, that would be me.  I didn't want to start a new topic on the movie if one already existed, so I searched to see if there already was one, and since this one already existed I figured I'd just add to it.  I know it's an old topic, but hey.
