No.54 - "Horror Of The Blood Monsters"/"Vampire Men Off The Lost Planet"

Al Adamson's enjoyable patchwork job of a sci-fi horror movie which starts as a vampire movie, becomes a space opera and ends up as a weird intergalactic lost world adventure.

There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack

58.) The Devil's Rain
Where else can you see Shatner, Tom Skerritt, and Eddie Albert fight "McHell's Army". The film also marks the debute of a young actor named John Travolta. (Yeah it's obvious his career is going go nowhere. :bouncegiggle:)

Movie Trivia Fact : O.J. Simpson was considered for the title role in The Terminator, but producers feared he was \"too nice\" to be taken seriously as a cold-blooded killer.
Isn\'t hindsight great.
A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. - Agent Kay - Men in Black

60. Frogs
Man, that movie was bad, but is really overlooked as one of the baddest movies around. Oh sure, it isn't worst of all the bad films, but it sure would be somewhere in the top 100 (It's number one my book). It sure had some of the most rememberable terrible death scenes around. I can stand remember them in my head... save me...

Oh yeah, I got another to post, but I'll do it later. You guys maybe surprised that you overlooked this bad B-movie.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

This film is awful beyond belief.
No amount of close ups of frogs is gonna make me believe that they're hatching a plan to take everyone down.

I really, really, hate it. :hatred:

I saw FROGS on a double-bill with GODZILLA VS. THE SMOG MONSTER.

Even then it all seemed a bit goofy, but the scene where Joan Van Ark gets et by the snapping turtles rang true with this Southern boy!

The poster was great, though:

It was also featured on the cover of Famous Monsters of Filmland:

...which always gave some street cred to any horror movie, no matter how terrible.

:teddyr:

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Kester Pelagius

How STRIPTEASE got a nod and not SHOWGIRLS (a far better bad movie IMHO) I've no idea. But that slight oversight has moved me to contribute. So here's my nomination:

61. IRON WARRIOR
Cosmic Cinema - SF articles and reviews.

Mise-en-scene Crypt - Rants, reviews, & more! (10% NSFW)

Doc Daneeka

62. Since more entertaining films can count, I nom. NEON MANIACS, one of the most unintentionally weird mainstream movies I've seen. From the dead-end stuff at the beginning, the rapidly changing, plastic-looking faces of the titular creatures, and the one-off dialogue ("I love you Stephen... that's why I like you..."), Neon Maniacs is not for everyone, but it is an excellent movie for our kind to rewatch in order to scout out new weird things to find each time!

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.
