I think my wife has watched more movies for my sake, but one comes along every so often. Most recently, it was Mama Mia, which had kind of a silver lining. We were both amazed by just how ill-conceived the whole thing was, and we sat there watching with utter fascination and mocking it the whole way through. So it does work out sometimes.

And like RC, my wife introduced me to O Brother, Where Art Thou? That was one of the first movies we watched together when dating. It was a favourite of hers, and it immediately became a favourite of mine.

Hammock Rider

Original Sin

A Guy Thing

13 going on 30, which was Citizen Kane compared to...THE WEDDING PLANNER!
Jumping Kings and Making Haste Ain't my Cup of Meat

Ash

I got dragged to Sleepless In Seattle by an old girlfriend back in 1993.

I also got dragged to My Best Friend's Wedding by two chicks in 1997.
All three of us worked together at the movie theater and they were kind of fighting over me at the time.

Dr. Whom

Titanic (and I kinda liked that one, but perhaps that was because my expectations were so low)

When I went a few dates with this girl who used to go to my school, we saw Accepted, Happy Feet, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and Man of the Year (It felt kind of weird to watch it with her, we both thought it was going to be mostly a comedy).  All the movies were fine, but I mostly saw them because of her.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

:bluesad: Black Candles!!!   It was on one of those double feature DVDs.   The Evil Eye (or something like that) was the target movie, but we ended up watching this one too.  I had to cover my head for most of this one and it still gives me nightmares..  this is another one of those movies where the Netflix summary failed miserably at preparing you for what you're about to see.  Ever since this happened, I've demanded a full investigation from multiple sources of all movies before I'll watch them.

I'd like to thank Paquita for telling me about this DVD. It is now on my Netflix queue.

Just make sure there are no women, children, or elderly in the room when you watch it.

Saucerman

A girl I've just begun to date has made it her mission to show me as many 80s Slasher films as possible.  Having now developed a taste for slashers (I used to not be interested in them at all), I probably would have slowly but surely seen them anyways, but now I have someone cute to watch them with, and will see them more quickly.

Let's see, there was:

Hairspray (both versions- actually I liked them both)
Forrest Gump (liked that too)
Click (didn't care for it at all)
Monster In-Law (yikes!)
Several Julia Roberts films (ick)
Stepmom (not my cup of tea)

Sure there's some other chick flicks I'm forgetting. So hard to get her into B-movies although she does like some Horror films (including Carrie and the Evil Dead films and she loves the Three Stooges so there's hope for her yet! Heck she even like TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE! Now if only I could get her liking Godzilla, I'd put up with the occasional chick flick without too much fuss).

Sleepless in Seattle
Like Water for Chocolate
Moonstruck
Steel Magnolias
Terms of Endearment

I could go on, but that sort of film.  Bit of a role-reversal here: hubby is the one who is happy watching 'relationship flicks'.  I finally figured out that it was simply a matter of the range of what he is happy watching being wider than mine in that one direction.  He'll watch everything I like plus the really sappy stuff.
