Do you think they will ever remake this movie?I remember seeing this as a kid and loving it. Atreyu!!!!

When I read this, I read it with a swear word (one beginning with F) instead of the word certainly. I had to re-read. I agree that it shouldn't be remade - some films shouldn't be touched.

Worse for me though would be the cover-version of the theme that would accompany it
Where the hell is that soothing music coming from?

glad you liked it. this is off topic, but i read an interview with atreyu's singer and he was talking about his influences; basically he was like "f!ck the roots man, f!ck black sabbath, f!ck metallica, green day were more important to me". did you get that? green day were more important to him! I like Green Day, but can't really say they're that 'influential' a band.  Maybe over the pop/punk likes, like Blink 182 and stuff.  But I can't se them having a lot of influence on the metal crowd.

Should it be remade?  No.  End of thread?

Well, one thing I might suggest for those wanting more is to read the book.  It's good.  Though I think the translation isn't one of the better ones, sometimes seems a bit wonky.

It shouldn't be remade.  But that's not gonna stop Hollywood from doing it. 

But hey, it can't be any worse than the direct to dvd/video sequel: The NeverEnding Story 3.
