Supposedly they're tubifex worms.

Something about the video makes it seem fake to me.  See how the second one goes slack and starts to sag before the camera looks at the third one?  That's what would happen if, say, whoever was operating the "creature" had to let go of the controls to go to the other side of the pipe and set up for the third one.  The white object you can see "getting sucked into" the third one looks like it could be a wire, as would be used to make the sac contract.

Tubifex worms? You can buy them in freeze-dried blocks for aquarium fish.

They love 'em - but be careful! - they can cause constipation.
