SHIVERS (1975) is an early Cronenberg with lots and lots of people getting taken over by parasites and then having mad 70s sex.

im going to put money on THE FACULTY. underrated 90's alien invasion flick. there are alien parasites that take over human hosts via the mouth. they are from a planet composed entirely of water so they drink a s**t ton of water and there is even a scene where a coach(Robert Patrick(T-1000)) and the football team are outside in the rain soaking it up while tentacles flail out of their faces. Hopefully this helps.
