Condolences for your kitty, Dennis!

As of this moment, I am trying to procrastinate on the lesson plans that are due tomorrow.

Thank you all for your condolences. Doodle was a small long hair, all black except for one white whisker.

Indiana, while I was attending school, elementary all the way through college, I was pretty sure my teachers did this, you've just confirmed my belief. I still find nostril smiting and Efferdent Spleen Wax quite enjoyable though.

Well, it's not like I don't know what I'm teaching!  I just find typing five line summaries into neat little boxes on our computerized lesson plan system a bit trying on Sunday night . . . BUT, we will finish out the New Deal and begin Hitler's Rise to Power tomorrow, whetherer it's in the computer system or not!!!

08h11 here: work day just started. Cool and overcast in Pretoria ~ thunder and lightning in my head.

I have an appointment at my doctor's office for my monthly blood test, been doing this for a couple years now, you'd think I'd be used to it by now, but the thought of a needle in my vein sucking out my blood still gives me the heebie jeebies. Oh well, at least I don't pass out any more.

Mr. DS

Currently waiting for our main system to get back up where I work.  Trying to keep busy in the meantime...apparently.

Eight minutes to go and then I go back home.

Going back out to do chores and thinking about Dennis' cat Doodle.  Thinking about everybody's lost furry friends.  All my kitties and dogs will get extra lovin' today as a consequence.

Sad to hear about Doodle.  I love cats and I dread having to say goodbye to mine.

I just finished eating some braised red cabbage with apples.  It was a recipe I saw on Good Eats and I decided to try it.  Looks kind of weird but I thought it was kind of cool:

It was tasty enough that I'll make it again sometime!

11:16 - relaxing after  a very pleasant evening at home. Burned some winter deadfall wood, bottle fed my baby goat, typed up some powerpoint slides for my history class tomorrow, and listed a bunch of artifacts on EBay.

Life is good.
