Three-legged monsters

Hi guys,

A friend of mine is looking for a scifi/fantasy movie, possibly from the 80s. He remembers only one scene: Underground/cave and there are two three-legged monsters standing on the left and right of something important. The legs are thick (not like tripods in WotW), like those of a hippo.

I could not find anything yet. It's not 'tripods' from the BBC.

Anyone?

What about the creatures from "Invaders from Mars" (1986)?



I think that they had 4 legs, but they did look weird.  There is also a scene in the underground lair with them that matches.

That's the movie that came to mind for me too Andrew. Probably the only Tobe Hooper film (other than "Poltergeist") that I truly enjoy.
