Well, you're sweet; I do own those 2 on vinyl, but hardly ever listen to them - anymore.  
Funky Favorites, Funny Bone Favorites and ELVIRA Haunted Hits would work best for a Halloween party...

I've been to very few parties, but here are my 3 picks:

For my purposes I'm assuming the party is very casual and very friendly yet not very wild.

For the beginning:

Out of the Blue - Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)  (To get everybody in a good mood)




The Beatles (White Album) - The Beatles (I feel this album has plenty of songs with enough variety to keep the party going, without becoming monotonous.)



Big Bam Boom - Hall and Oates (When the party starts pleasantly winding down)
