I knew it was coming. I tried to close my eyes and make believe it wasn't true. It's done and due for an April release, so I can't imagine it away any longer. Wasn't it already soiled enough by a horrid sequel? Now a remake? The original was a very special film. Word cannot express my disgust and resentment.

God, that's lame.  And a woman as Hobson?  Weird.

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

Don't worry Flick it is coming.  Soon everything from the 70's and 80's will be remade then the 90's and soon all you will have to know is what was around about 3-4 decades before to know what will come out again at any particular time.
Ah, the good old days.

Just remember that the day after this opens the original will still exist. This re-make isn't actually going to replace our beloved classic. And on the plus side, it just might bomb hard enough to put a stake through the heart of Russell Brand's career.

This is not a Russell Brand thing for me. I like him okay, but I'm not a big fan either. I get angry at remakes in general, this one just particularly gets under my skin.

Haven't seen the original, but this seems unbelievably lame.

I'm sure it will be. However, I do highly recommend a viewing of the original at some point, voltron. Excellently written and lot's a great one-line zingers.
