I love this movie.

I have seen it dozens of times, and it never ceases to amaze.

Of all the early 90s action films made, this one was the few to maintain a level of realism (in parts) and also remain exciting.

Plus it has Charlie Sheen, Michael Beihn and Bill goddamn Paxton as "God" the sniper.

I loved this when I was a kid, and it is now my drunk movie. Anytime I get home half cut (like tonight) I will stick on Navy Seals and enjoy all the bravado and gratuitous shooting.

Do y'all dig it too?

I saw it in a theater and didn't care for it. I did laugh at how a bunch of Coasties in the audience bood because of the "if I wanted to relax I would have joined the Coast Guard" line.
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

I would have laughed at that too.

I liked the movie okay.

I didn't like this movie.  The characters were all a bunch of dumbasses.

True, but one of those dumbasses was Bill Paxton.

I totally don't remember Paxton being in this movie.  I remember Michael Biehn and Charlie Sheen.

I just found a DVD of the ultra-low budget rip-off US Seals, that looks like a serious Bad Movie, anyone seen it?

I've seen both US Seals and US Seals 2.

They are both terrible as far as I remember, but I literally remember nothing except one of the guys has a goatee. And theres a duel at one point.

I hope you paid no more than 75p.

Well about £2, but it was a charity shop so I'll count that as my good dead for the year (saving someone else from watching it...).

Paxton was rocking the mustache pretty hard in this one, maybe that's why you didn't spot him.

It's a pretty ra-ra 'U.S. versus THEM' action fest overall, and about as deep as a petrie dish, but it had some quite good action scenes, and an entertaining core team line up in Charlie Sheen, Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, Dennis Haysbert and Rick Rossovich, who all worked well together on screen, and helped smooth the edges a bit. So as an 80's action fan I always had a bit of a soft spot for it, as it seemed to hit in 1990 just as that brand of 'men on a mission' action film was really starting to die out.

When I went to see this at the cinema I remember the place was so empty that the theatre employees were annoyed at me for buying the only ticket. I think they wanted to can the showing and go on break, but as I purchased a ticket they were all obligated to do their jobs, just for my benefit. The only other time that has ever happened to me was when I went to see Walter Hill's Trespass, which oddly enough also featured Bill Paxton in one of the lead roles...  :bouncegiggle:

I hated it the first times, because of all the sillyness, but now when it airs on TV I always wait for the final act, the action there is pretty good. Could have done without Charlie Sheen's "Maverick" schtick, though. Than went completely overboard, he almost seems psychotic in some scenes.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Psycho Circus

One of the most boring films I have ever seen.
