Guitar Wolf - Jet Generation

NOISY!

Do you happen to know if this was the music featured in the movie WILD ZERO?  There was a "Jet" something song in that if I remember.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Not sure about the exact music used, but I believe the actual Guitar Wolf band are characters in the movie and I know it features their music.  Is that film worth checking out?

Anthrax - Fistful Of Metal (1984)

I had that on LP way back in 1985. I still have all of those LPs I bought in the mid-80's when I was obssessed with hardcore metal. I just don't have a working player at the moment.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Yes, the band are characters.  The movie's not bad, I would say if you're a fan of the band you'll definitely want to give it a try.  It's a "rock 'n roll jet movie."

2 Minutes to Midnight is still one of my alltime favorite metal/rock songs.

RUST - Shoot The Higher (1989)

Drums that sound like trash cans - check, German sounding vocalist - check, guitars that sound like laser beams - check.

Greek metal at it's finest....

Free music Saturday:

Cristal Records Paris Cafe & Ballroom Music Free Sampler - http://www.amazon.com/Cristal-Records-Paris-Ballroom-Sampler/dp/B004UFDJOA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1303581442&sr=1-3

That was really bad, so I downloaded another to clean my palette:

Allegro 2011 Winter Sampler - http://www.amazon.com/Allegro-2011-Winter-Sampler/dp/B004IE274Q/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1303581442&sr=1-4

Much better.  Mainly straight-ahead jazz with some reasonably big names (James Moody, Freddy Hubbard) but also some vocalists and some electronica/international jazz.
