This thread is for SAPPY SONGS, not songs you hate, just SAPPY SONGS.  It's okay if you hate 'em, but not necessary.  I like a couple of SAPPY SONGS (but not this one).  Unsure what's SAPPY?  Here's a definition: 
Sappy: 1. abounding in sap  2. sentimental; mawkish  3. foolish

Man, this is hard for me. Air Supply was the first thing that sprang to my mind too, but then I thought of all the bands I like that have done drippy, sugary ballads and I watched some videos......But they're all awesome and don't seem sappy to me. Oh well.
