A tree fell across the power lines yesterday, so we were without electricity for a few hours.  Almost as long as it took me to get the damned router re-initialized and finally get my internet working again.  Grrr...  Still have to go through the whole setup procedure on the PS3 and get that re-connected, even though I used the exact same WEP security key that I had before.  You'd kind of think it would log right back on, but oh, silly me;  of course not.

here was my day:

I had been sick all weekend but starting to feel better. I felt crappy this morning but went to work. I'm a courier and the first part of our day is sorting our boxes for delivery, in a parking lot. It was like 90 today. Soon I was sweating bullets and totally sick. I finally got going and I was like "this is nuts, I've gotta call the boss and tell him I can't do this" I went home and lay down on my front lawn for 15 minutes, ate all this fruit and went back out. After each one I was like "this is insane" but I kept going. They are really short of people and it's a huge huge day.  My family was frantic as always. I was like "no no". Someone made a doctors apporintment for me I was like "I can't go I'm sorry. I have to deliver these boxes for no money"

Gradually I started feeilng better. I had lost time along the way so I finished at like 6 having started at like 8:45. I didn't deliver nearly as many as I usually would have in that time and someone else had to take a bunch of mine. The whole thing was ridiculous.

I'm a big fan of the Lonesome Dove series.  If you get the chance, rent Commanche Moon. It's sort of a prequel.
