Ash, if you have never seen Sevendust live, check them out.

Saw them about two years ago at a MASSIVE concert near where I live.  They played with Nickleback, Puddle Of Mudd, Seven Mary Three (awesome band), and some stoner rap rock band that was out at the time.

Sevendust was by far the best band to be on the stage.  Their set started at 6PM, we had all been there since about 8:30 that morning, and almost everyone was drunk.  As they started, a massive mosh pit formed (probably well over 800 people in it), and things just went from there.

Fantastic band, great show.

I've seen Sevendust 3 times.

I saw them open for Megadeth.....Creed.....and Slipknot.

When I first saw them they ruled.....but as the tour wore on toward the end you could tell that they were getting tired because Lajon Witherspoon tended to just bark into the mic rather than sing.  They actually sucked when they opened for Slipknot.

I could not believe that this was the same Sevendust that gave Megadeth a run for their money!

I was very disappointed in their last album.  Other than that they rock.......

First off, Rob, very cool to see someone list Petra, especially back in the old Greg Voltz days (how badass a middle initial is X, by the way?).

Top 5 best records ever:
Tanglefoot - Music In the Wood
The Pogues - Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash
Devin Townsend - Terria
White Zombie - Astrocreep 2000
Clutch - Pure Rock Fury

Honorable mentions and current favorites:
Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia
Cradle of Filth - Damnation and A Day
Hollenthon - Domus Mundi
Vintersorg - Till Fjalls
Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies
Everything else by Tanglefoot, Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad, and The Pogues

It's really awesome to see how many people on this board like some kick ass music.

You mentioned Clutch, in your post.  Figured I was one of their only fans.  Saw them last year at an annual "Rocktoberfest" that one of our stations has.  Clutch and Megadeth.  Rocked hard.

Skaboi:  Clutch has been one of my favorite bands for some time.  Neil Fallon has to be in touch with some kind of higher power to write lyrics like that.
Drezzy:  Bonded By Blood isn't really a rare record, but Exodus is a kickass thrash band and I wish Rob Zombie would let Tempesta do some more of that s**t on his records.  He's a far better drummer than he lets on.
Also, Tuesday I saw Rollins covering Black Flag tunes for the West Memphis Three.  It rocked my damn face off, and I highly suggest if this bill comes to your town that you go see it.  Great music and for a good cause too.

I really really really really dislike Henry Rollins.

He's an arrogant a***ole.

He's a bad actor.

And as for when he sang for the Misfits....don't get me started.

I got to meet Henry Rollins when he came to town for a poetry reading. I found him to be a real nice down to earth guy. Very soft spoken yet very impressionable. Never was a big fan of his music but as a person he was great.

That's the impression I get from him, too. I've never been able to get into any of his stuff (except for "TV Party," which is a fun song), but the interviews with him I've read are always very entertaining. Plus, I understand he rereleased a lot of great stuff on Infinite Zero, like The Monks and Devo.

"Lounge Against the Machine" by Richard Cheese. Lounge covers of the likes of Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, Radiohead, and the Dead Kennedys that are not only hilarious, but damn catchy and great driving music. Nothing beats cruising down a country road with the windows down, blaring a Vegas version of "Rape Me" by Nirvana!
