Ugly hot and humid.  Too hot to do much at all, and they are warning us that Friday is forecast to be much worse.  Oh joy.

QuoteExtreme heat bakes Midwest, parts of East Coast

We had to run out early to do some food shopping. I'm trying to avoid the afternoon heatwave.

It's only 11am here at the shore and it's already hot as hell. (maybe hotter)

Forecast predicting "only" 78 F this weekend so I shouldn't really complain since you guys are literally baking in the sun. It is very humid here though, and we just had a thunderstorm that didn't last very long. Last night we had heat lightning AND a few lightning bugs flying about. Loved it. I was sitting on the patio watching for an hour.

It's pouring down rain today which honestly is kind of needed in these parts right now.

Indiana is having the most over 100F days since ever (new record) plus it hasn't rained here for months so everything plantlife is effectively dying/dead.  Due to the dry grass, they enforced a fireworks ban over 4th of July handing down severe fines and for repeat offendors prison sentences for setting off fireworks (real patriotic moment).

Sorry world: but this effectiely means food prices will be higher next year, economies will retract, and probably millions will starve to death.

It's a bit more tolerable here, only 88 at the moment.  Hit 105 one day last week.

It's cooled off somewhat outside now. It's overcast with scattered showers. We had a thunderstorm last night. Thought I heard it off in the distance again.

It's been Hell & high water here in central VA.
Seriously, we've been bouncing back & forth between record setting heat, and record setting rainfall with record setting winds.

And I understand it's caused record setting power outages all along the East Coast...

Kinda nice here in NEPA. It's 73 and sunny. Too bad I'm stuck inside til 6.

JaseSF

Perfect here today. Nice and sunny and not too hot with a nice cool breeze.

59 F at the moment. We just had a rainstorm with the usual strong winds (we've had on and off strong winds for nearly 5 months).

According to forecast temps are dropping to 46 F this weekend!

Rainfall, overcast, wind and low temps still dominate Germany so far. Since the 1st of July we only had five days (82 F) of summer weather.
Our summer is pretty much f**ked, but I'm not complaining

Jack

It's hot here once again.  99 F yesterday, supposed to hit 94 today.  They're predicting 87-89 for the next few days.  We did get some rain a few days ago, but not nearly enough to bring the grass back to life.

You know about that drought in the midwest that's been discussed in the news? Well, I live in the middle of it where it has been brutal, infact it was over 100 degrees today. I'm guessing I'll be badly sun burnt waiting in line for \ The Dark Knight Rises friday morning.

Yeah, it sucks hard. Yesterday it was 100 degrees. At least here today, there was a little bit of rain, and we got a little bit cooler weather in the mid 80's in MI.
