A few years ago, a lady I worked with said that in her mind, "FYI" didn't stand for "For Your Information" as it does to everyone who hears it, but rather, she meant it as "F**k you, Idiot." So if she ever prefaced her statement with "FYI," you knew you had been told off (usually in a joking fashion). Similarly, around my household, "LMAO" doesn't stand for "Laughing My A$$ off," but rather, "Lick My Anal Orifice."

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to take a common acronym and corrupt it. Have fun.  :teddyr:

A collating machine I used to work with had a Auto, Man, & STD setting...

I sure hope that machine didn't give me some disease!

My husband always thought LOL stood for Lots o' Laughs, which isn't far from the actual meaning, but I like it more.

DB, which we sometimes use for Database, means Douche Bag to me.

S.O.S. is sometimes used to mean "Same old s**t."

FTW is generally used to mean "For the Win!" My natural inclination is to read it as "F**k the World," which greatly changes the meaning of the sentence.

Some years ago I worked for a resort as guest services agent.  Instead of saying "Thank You" to a guest, we had to respond with "My pleasure".   We often had to deal with nasty, rude, and downright obnoxious guests at the resort.  It didn't take long to learn from co-workers that "My pleasure" took on a different meaning reserved just for these particular guests.  With big smiles plastered on our faces we would put very exaggerated emphasis on our response of "my pleasure" ... which is essence meant F**k you.

The group on one of the bb's I spend time on came up with a way to say "WTF" openly: Where's the Fruitbats?  So we end up making references to fruitbats as a shortform: "Bring on the fruitbats" or "There must be fruitbats" and so on.

So O.K., those were the first things I thought of when I first saw those....FTW means F**k the World to me but mainly because of Taz in ECW.
