Quote"I will apologize for Armageddon, because we had to do the whole movie in 16 weeks. It was a massive undertaking. That was not fair to the movie. I would redo the entire third act if I could. But the studio literally took the movie away from us. It was terrible. My visual effects supervisor had a nervous breakdown, so I had to be in charge of that. I called James Cameron and asked 'What do you do when you're doing all the effects yourself?'

That's not an apology; it's a bunch of excuses....blaming of others.

Whiny brat.

Yeah, I noticed that too.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I thought that was one of his better movies.  Why not apologize for one of the more horrible ones?

Maybe he should have apologized for Pearl Harbor instead. For me, the only Michael Bay film I've watched is Transformers which for me, isn't all that bad. Based on what people have said though, I've mostly steered clear of his work. The Rock and Bad Boys do look quite solid though.

Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

Four months and 140 million dollars - how the hell's anybody supposed to make a movie with that?

I've saw worse films, lol. Armagedon wasn't all that bad.  Sure there are some parts of the film that wasn't that great but what movie doesn't have it's moments? I thought the effects were really good, the dialouge preety decent and the acting good, cheese in places but hey it's only a 100 million dollar movie, lol.

Pear Harbour?  Uhhhh now that one I have never finished.

What actor, director.producer hasn't made a film at some point that hasn't flopped ?

Because Hollywood producers say "DOEETNOWMONIES!!!!"

I saw Armageddon on rental back before I even knew who Bay was so all I had to go on was the movie itself. Based on that, it was all space stuff, which I love, so I couldn't have cared less.

Though this shines some light on that line from Transformers, "This is a million times cooler than Armageddon!"

Trevor

At the risk of being brained by many shoes, I liked Armageddon, especially the last twenty minutes or so.

Two other points:

1) The music was done by my homeboy Trevor Rabin  and
2) Judith Hoag was in it. *SIGH*

Yes, I liked it.

I had really liked "Bad Boys" and "The Rock" so "Armageddon" looked like another winner to me based on its trailer.

By the time it was over I hated Aerosmith with a passion and I was convinced that Michael Bay was the Antichrist.

Know he's apologizing for Armageddon, now what about Pearl Harbor?

Gst0395

I have a question. Has Michael Bay actually made a film worth watching? Maybe The Rock and to a lesser extent, Bad Boys.
