Playing Aliens: Colonial Marines got me wanting to watch the Alien movies again.  While watching Alien, I noticed something I never had before, and it's been troubling me.

Why in the hell did the Alien take Lambert's pants off???   :buggedout:
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

Leah

Magic.  :tongueout: Nah, I think it was going for surprise butt sex. :buggedout: Good lord I need help! D:
yeah no.

Jack

I can't believe I've never noticed that  :bouncegiggle:  From other movies I've watched, women often strip down a bit when the action starts.  It allows more freedom of movement I believe.   :teddyr:

I just watched the director's cut about a month ago.  Alien has sexual overtones throughout the film.  Mostly rape.  Maybe that's why her pants were off, though I never noticed it before.

I never gave that a second thought. Now it's bothering me.

It will always bother me.
Kleel's rule is harsh :-B

Alien is full of rape analogy/imagery.

Are we talking about the Alien with Siguourney Weaver????  I did not pick up on the sexual overtones in this movie.

I have it and will have to watch it again.  I don't remember the depantsing.

It starts with Kane getting a "face full of alien wing-wong" and goes downhill from there. Next up is a rape pregnancy analogy. And there's the extra mouth that pops a few feet out of the adult alien's normal mouth.

Actually, I don't, either. I remember Ripley gratuitously stripping in the shuttle, but not Lambert being de-pantsed. I do remember the alien's prehensile tail going between her legs during its attack on her, though.

I don't think that scene is in the original version. As people say, it's most likely a sexual overtone. I didn't quite know what it was about at first.

I kinda liked ALIEN-for some dum, insane reason-I dont think its all that great. I like HR Giger's monster design, though. This is IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE updated.

Interesting, I never knew about that movie. I guess you could classify Alien as a "remake" of that movie, almost like The Thing (1982) was a "remake" of The Thing from Another World (1951)

Yes. It was a direct rip off of that movie.More special effects-but Ridley Scott admitted to it.

Not literally, no. Just suggestive situations.
