So-so giallo about a detective investigating a series of bizarre murders where the victims are injected with wasp venom then disemboweled much in the same way that a black wasp kills a tarantula (aha!). Honestly I had trouble following this one for some reason. I could barely make out the plot as it developed further and further. Maybe because I was a little toasted, I dunno. Overall it just struck me as being quite average and uneventful. OK score by Morricone, nice visuals, but the effort just fell flat to me. 2/5

Agreed... I liked the opening 10 minutes where it looked like it might turn into a cool film, but quickly got a bit bored. The main guy (forgot his name) doesn't really warrant being a main character, his whole performance is just meh...

definitely a few superior early 70s gialli out there... 'What Have You Done To Solange' and 'Lizard In A Woman's Skin' in particular (imo)

Any idea where I can get a copy of "What Have You Done...." for a decent price? I've been looking for it since a while now, but it is insanely expensive.

yeah I know what you mean. I've only seen it on youtube... every time someone puts it up, it gets taken down almost immediately, and it's not up right now. there's a really clear version that I'm guessing is restored, and a scrappy looking version

surprised Shameless or one of the giallo DVD specialists hasn't re-released it at a nice price yet.
