LES PARAPLUIES DE CHERBOURG (The Umbrellas of Cherbourg) SOUNDTRACK

The BEST ALBUM of the last 5 (maybe 10) years.
They broke up after completing this opus, because they felt that they had reached their ultimate potential and finally put out the record they had always wanted.
It is perfect from head to toe, and the more research and context you give to the album, the more it gives back to you.

"Meddle" by Pink Floyd
One of my favorite PINK FLOYD albums.

It took ages before I realized that the cover was a close up of an ear.

I just realized it now. I always thought it was some kind of seashell.

I loved this hit back when it was new, of course I was a kid (and I also loved MUNGO JERRY "In The Summertime" and MELANIE "Brand New Key".  A little earlier, those are both still favorites of mine and of similar ilk).  My sister bought this one on 45 vinyl all those decades ago, and I probably played it more than she did.

I have his CD, and I listen to HURRICANE SMITH every now and then, finally, in my car or on the computer, but I listen to this performance much more (below remarks copied from my YouTube of the day):
HURRICANE SMITH live on JOHNNY CARSON (who required musical performers on his show to do it live!)
