it truly is an incredible film.  i'll have my vhs copy back in my possession in a couple of months or so.  i'll upload some screenshots ASAP. 

You can already find some screenshots on a link posted here. What I want to see is the real deal, considering how incredibly obscure it is. You'd think Something Weird Video had gotten a hold of it at some point.

So I confirmed with my family that it was indeed my uncle who directed "video wars".  I have a rip of the film and the soundtrack on vinyl.  I'm going to work on getting both up on YouTube or Vimeo.  Ill post the links here in the thread.

Sorry, I wasn't sure what the policy here is about posting links to ripped movies.  If the director's relative doesn't sort something out, I will.

That's incredible!  It is seriously one of my favorite movies ever.  I would love to hear what his inspiration/thought process was in making the film.  REALLY looking forward to getting the soundtrack.

unfortunately he passed away in 2007 :(   he definitely was a pretty interesting person.  i dont think he directed any other movies but i remember him working on scripts.  i know he did a documentary called India: Love And Devotion.  there is some info about that on the web. 

working on trying to find someone to rip the vinyl.  at the very least ill do it myself

I could have sworn that I saw a review of the movie on HorrorNews.net. They recently updated their website and screwed up the links to their movie reviews though. I did a search just now and couldn't find it, or just didn't look hard enough. I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it though.

I was mistaken. They have a Video Nasties movie review up there. But nothing on Video Wars (1983).
