That's about the truest statement I've heard to date, Newt. So true, and so sad. I too am in the club of people who lost a family member to suicide. not a brother, but a beloved cousin, and family just the same.  Hugs for you, RC, and love to the rest of you.

RC, I do not know what to say here. But you've got a community here that cares about you. My condolences to you and your family.

Ron and I talked for about an hour today.  He is going to be okay.  He is saddened and hurt; he loved his brother from the moment a baby boy came home and Ron, the older brother, kissed the baby on the forehead.  Ron is a sensitive, gentle man.  Today I heard his son leaving from a visit and Ron said to the young man: "I love you."  I heard his son reply: "I love you too!"  It's nice to hear a man tell his son that he loves him.  Ron lives close to his lovely young lady friend, and often stays with her.  He will be seeing his family very soon.

Yeah, a lot more fathers should have told their sons and daughters they loved them. It's nice to hear it as well as know it.

So sorry for your loss. I lost a cousin that way a long time ago...so hard on those left behind.

It's always painful when you lose someone close to you, especially when it's not a natural cause. That is tragic to hear, very sorry for your loss mate.
