This has probably already been posted here, but I have to bring this up. I saw it in an article about terrible VHS artwork, I think it's for a Goodtimes Entertainment release of the classic British shocker "Night of the Demon" (1957).



If you've probably seen this movie, you'll agree that this cover does very little justice to the eerie and tense atmosphere of the film. Some may mistake it as being an animated flick or something, I don't know. It just looks very cartoonish and strange.

I actually kinda like that Corpse Grinder poster.  It has a real Grindhouse feel to it.

This is a great VHS box because it made me want to watch the movie SO BAD, but .. I mean, it's terrible, too. Really terrible. Burt Reynolds looks like a Muppet.

I thought that was Robert Goulet at first glance.  I kind of wish it were.

You'd never know if from that godawful cover, but this is actually a really frightening and disturbing Japanese horror film about about a vampire-like alien terrorizing the survivors of an airliner crash. It's got some incredible visuals - and it was recently release by Criterion!

So I finally solved a childhood mystery. I am quite sure my first Godzilla movie was Godzilla vs. Hedorah. I swear I faintly remember my grandma and grandpa showing the box to me while we were in a Fred Meyer store when I was four or so. Now most often you'd see this cover in movie stores...

I certainly remember Godzilla looking better but Hedorah is exactly as I remembered.
