70s Mystery Movies - Any Recommendations?

I am looking for good mystery movies, preferably from the 70s.  There is just something that I like about the visual aesthetic of films of the 70s.

I have recently been on a giallo kick, and a blog led me to the film Puzzle.  Puzzle lacked the horror elements that I find in most giallo films, and I liked that about it.  Now I want more.  I also want to broaden my focus beyond just Italian films. There are plenty of other great mystery films, like The Last of Sheila or Hitchcock's Family Plot.


Does anybody have any suggestions?

Yes, there are. Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions. I will say . . .

That "Family Plot" is notable for being Hitchcock's last film as a director and . . .

"The Last of Sheila" is being remade for release later next year. Ugh!

Play Misty For Me - GREAT Eastwood flick!
The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane - KICKASS little movie with an awesome performance by a 13 year old Jodie Foster. Feels like a made-for-TV effort. Again EXCELLENT!
