Looking back, when I was a kid I took my mother very much for granted and was way too hard on her. I mentioned that to my father Monday and he said, "Then you were completely normal." At this time in my life I must say children being normal for unappreciatively running roughshod over their mothers is a particularly scary thought!

With our first child on her way, me and the wife have been randomly discussing the various things we are going to do bringing up our child. Luckily we've been in agreement on pretty much everything with just a few minor differences.

This morning I told her there was one thing that would be happening that was not up for discussion and I would be insisting on.

When the time comes for our child to watch Star Wars, it will be in Machete Order (Episodes 4,5 then 2 & 3 before jumping forward to 6 missing out episode 1 entirely).
