2016 sucks

QuoteCarrie Fisher, the iconic actress who portrayed Princess Leia in the Star Wars series, died Tuesday following a massive heart attack last week. She was 60.

"It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning," Simon Halls, a spokesperson for Fisher's family, said in a statement to People.

Fisher suffered a heart attack last week aboard a Los Angeles-bound flight 15 minutes prior to landing. A medic onboard performed CPR on the actress until paramedics arrived to take her to UCLA Medical Center, where she was placed on a ventilator.

Man, 2016 had to screw us over one more time . . .

RIP Princess Leia.  The Force will be with you . . .always.

I thought GEORGE MICHAEL would be the end of the sad news for 2016... Good night CARRIE.  People will know you as long as people look at movies.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Oh my God! I kept telling myself that this wouldn't happen, but it has.

Sleep well, Ms. Fisher. You will always be loved.

I want this year over with. It has been a nightmare as far as favorite celebrities dying and a new low on a personal level.
I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.

Good night Carrie, may the force be with you.
f**k 2016
yeah no.

Damn it. I heard she was in stable condition.
s**t. I guess this makes her the first person from the Star Wars original cast to die.

It is tragic, obviously, but I can't help but wonder if they finished shooting all of her scenes for the next Abram's Star Wars film.
If not then he's either going to be forced to cancel the films, replace Carrie, or rewrite it so Princess Leia doesn't appear at all.

Before someone calls me insensitive I'm more upset by the fact that an actor that played an iconic role is dead.
I value human life more than a movie. (Excluding the lives of sex traffickers and ISIS but that's another can of worms)

:bluesad: R.I.P. Carrie Fisher. Gone much too soon...way too many great talents have passed this year...

Far, far too many good people have passed away this year.  Far too many.

Rest in peace, Carrie.  I'll always remember seeing Princess Leia in the cinema as a wide-eyed child.

Ultimately she's the 4th person from the original to die, with Peter Cushing (1994), Alec Guinness (2000), and Kenny Baker (August 2016) before her. Episode 8 was finished and is in post, but now comes the problem with Episode 9.
yeah no.

shooting for Episode 8 has been done for  a bit now, my guess if that and the end of the credits they'll be a for Carrie like there was a  for Paul in Furious 7
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite
