This has become my favourite type of music over time. Huge fan of the Ramones, the Clash, the Misfits, Black Flag, Bad Brains but also straight edge bands from the past/present like Unity, Uniform Choice, DYS, Gorilla Biscuits, Minor Threat, Righteous Jams, Earth Crisis, Youth of Today, Good Clean Fun, etc.. I also find I like garage rock and surfer rock and beach rock more and more the more I hear of it... clearly influences on punk too...

I like some so-called PUNK ROCK records.  So, I don't quite agree with you but note my English: I don't know it's the "only punk that matters" but, not being much of a fan... of "PUNK"... I do LOVE Raw Power... I think it's great... It's one of my favorite records.
