I saw this in the late 70's and even then I knew it was stupid.  Kind of like Wacky Races in Space, and also featured the shows GALAXY GOOF-UPS, THE BUFORD FILES and GALLOPING GHOST.

I remember, very clearly, watching the Archies, and they cut it with a news break. On Saturday f**king morning! About some s**t in Vietnam. Vietnam was everywhere. This was before the fall of Saigon I seen on IN THE NEWS.

Technically not a cartoon, & I believe Sesame Street's always been a weekday show, so I guess this falls in under "other things." :)
