Okay, if they are bringing in Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer, does this mean we finally get a faithful and decent go at Fantastic Four? Because the Fox FF movies were blights in the eyes of the Lord. Does this also mean Dr. Doom will come to the MCU? Because he's a villain who would easily become the 'big bad' for future phases to come.

The only issue I have with the MCU, come to think of it, is that all the villains die, with the exception of those who are redeemed in one form or another. Except for Loki, Nebula, Gamora and... not sure who else, off the top of my head... every villain dies. Red Skull became keeper of the Soul Stone, so that doesn't really count as 'living'. Killmonger gets killed. Thanos gets euthanozed. I'll stop with the puns now.

Doom is such a strong and pervasive presence in the comics that if he's brought into the MCU, they shouldn't kill him off. His character allows for a form of redemption, even if it's a wary truce in order to fight a common enemy. In an excellent graphic novel, Doom teams up with Doctor Strange to rescue his mother's soul from Mephisto. He's shown to be a benevolent dictactor, albeit bent on world conquest. Imagine the fun of the Terrax The Tamer days, 80s Fantastic Four in the modern age. Wow.

Will be interesting to see how they go with the FF4.

One thing I am sure of though is that it won't be a sequel to the last movie.

And beyond Phase 4...

QuoteMarvel Reportedly Planning An Avengers Vs. X-Men Movie

With the Disney/Fox deal expected to close later this month, Marvel Studios will soon be at liberty to bring the X-Men into the MCU, and since the whole reason why fans are excited about this development is the prospect of finally seeing the Marvel mutants share the screen with the Disney roster, it figures that Kevin Feige and his team will have some crossover projects lined up.

In fact, according to one source close to We Got This Covered, an all-out Avengers vs. X-Men movie is currently "on the cards." Though their report didn't offer any specific details about the nature of this clash, the source did add that Marvel Studios "will begin building to it" once the merger is complete, which suggests that the X-Men may have a few stepping stone projects leading up to the big crossover moment. A slow build would also make sense from the Avengers side of the equation, seeing how Disney will surely want to hand the team a rest after giving them two movies in the span of two years.

In any case, it remains to be seen just what Marvel Studios' game plan is for bringing the X-Men into the MCU, and it's unlikely that we'll find out at least until after Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26th and brings the current era to a close. Moreover, with Marvel's Phase 3 finale expected to serve as the swan song for a few Phase 1 heroes, it's likely that the line-up for the next Avengers movie will be very different from the one we currently see on our screens.

All in the all, the future of the franchise is still looking mysterious, but just as Avengers: Endgame is closing the book on the MCU's latest phase, Dark Phoenix is expected to do the same for the X-Men when it comes out on June 7th, 2019.

Will probably see many of them with friends. but honestly-aside from Silver Surfer, and maybe Ant Man 3 I can't say I'm that excited to see many of them.  I am curious how the MCU will shape itself in the wake of Endgame.  Who the new big bad will be built up to be.  With Silver Surfur-that means Galactus-but FF means Dr. Doom.  Two characters the movies don't have a great track record with.  But we will see.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Marvel Studios has the chance to make things right with FF and Doctor Doom. Instead of updating him as an evil capitalist or a hacker/spy (WTF!) let him be the arrogant genius monarch of an East European country. There have been absolutely no whiffs of Latveria in the MCU as Fox held the rights to the FF (goddamn it). But they can introduce Doom as the genius tyrant, like the anti-Iron Man. He's got his own remarkable origin story, loads of abilities and skills, but is still a relatively normal human, not counting the time he's become infused with the power of the Beyonder, or became a god, hahaha.

I'm interested to see how all this develops.

Marvel has a strong record thus far, but will audience fatigue set in?

Their method kept everyone invested in seeing where the whole story arc was going to go. Now that it's ended, I'm curious to see if they can maintain the momentum.
