A live streaming platform called Twitch at the time updated on what can be streamed. Before it was strictly video games, however they decided to add art as an option. Bob Ross had many seasons and episodes of The Joys of Painting so Twitch used that. Bob Ross then boomed into popularity again because of that with people actually enjoying it.
