Rev. Powell

The two party divide and partisan bickering aren't worth celebrating. Today's politics would make the founders more than a little sick.  :bluesad: But at least we still have something to aspire to.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Biden's got it so easy this November. Even when his senile old ass doesn't win the election, just tell him that he's the President now and that he can run the entire country from his basement, and his leg hairs will be all tickled pink about it.
...
BIDEN is all of 4 years older than Man-Thing and at least he can drink a glass of water with one hand.

If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

^ Man- that's just f**king wrong. It is not old or out of date. It's happening NOW. It's not a statue of some dead f**king guy waving a Confederate flag.
Just when I thought you couldn't be more rude.  :hatred:

Good post, indy. And, yes, it is still worth celebrating. Study history, learn from it and grow better. Be proud. Be proud. Our country has brought more happiness to more people than any other nation, and I wish amid the constant criticism of it, jealous and ungrateful people would say so.

As Bono said:

"America is an idea.... That's how we see you around the world, as one of the greatest ideas in human history."

Or as the always erudite Craig Ferguson put it:

"America is the greatest country anyone's ever thought of."

Me, I've done my best to serve this country most of my life, and I would turn around and do it again. America is a noble dream in motion.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.
