I like Depeche Mode.

My mom used to drive me to school, no bus service, ibid, and she'd listen to 97X "The Rock of the '90s....Now!" and Depeche Mode was half the station's playlist, some mornings. Them, The Cure, U2, the Cocteau Twins, Concrete Blonde, they all take me back to that station and those mornings, back when life was simple and my legs were blocks of ice all winter from having to wear the short plaid skirts of the school uniform. (Never understood why Catholic schools of all places made us wear the most lust-inducing outfit known to humankind, go figger.)

Anyway, Depeche Mode not only kindles the past in my heart, I like their unabashed coked-out '80s dance floor energy and still play them sometimes to this day.
