Yikes. After a land dispute involving a Palestinian Grandma being kicked out of her home in favor of a portly American settler, things have escalated to the point where the israeli army is entering Gaza on land sea and air.

Historically, that region belongs to the conquerors. The same thing happened to the Native Americans. If you live here in the United States of America on traditional indigenous land, then you are just as "guilty" as the Israelis.

I admire Israel.  And its Iron Dome; a nation determined to survive.  Their actions in Gaza are... unprecedented... including calling the homes of targets in bomb sites... it is all tragic and astounding.  Welcome to modern warfare.  Mass murder, tempered with destruction.

Zelmo - thats an accurate analogy. America definitely took the Indians land and relegated them to reservations. If the Native Americans decided to try and take back what was theirs, we'd have to fight them again I guess. It wouldn't be much of a fight but at the same time we don't begrudge them for their resentment.

Less than 1% of the American population, I think some of us are just happy living in resentment. I personally don't resent Western culture all that much; they have all of the coolest toys. I'm typing this on one now, for example.
